About a couple of years ago, my friends and I decided to go to these dirt hills with our bikes, and go off the jumps there. Smart huh? Well, we biked down to a little place we call "the hollow", and although it was all downhill, it took us about five minutes. We got to the place, and started riding our bikes around. After about thirty minutes of going off jumps and seeing how much "air" we could get, came the horrible moment. Before the incident, let me first explain how the place is laid out. This place isn't big, there's just a bike path that circles around itself. Well, I was getting ready to go around again, but underestimated this little jump right after you pick up speed. So I'm going about 10 miles per hour down this slope, and I hit the jump. Surprisingly, I got probably three feet of air on this little, miniscule jump. There's this turn after the jump, and i landed on it. In the air, I positioned my handlebar so that the bike would turn after I landed, because I didn't have much time. I turned the handle a little too much, and I crashed abruptly. Apart from the searing pain of my leg, I was alright. I looked down, and blood was trickling down from my knee. You could see the tender white flesh around the bone.
So, when asked how I got the scar, I simply say, "Bike, jump, landed wrong, OW!" I then smile, and say,"Battle Scar!"
